Different people prefer different ways of communicating because we are unique. Being deeply aware of our personal preference styles is part of developing our "communication intelligence". One way to better understand this is to take the Communication Preference Styles Survey (CPSS). The CPSS covers a range of personal and behavioural characteristics that affect our personal communication approach. The results include a score and intensity for each of the four major communication preference styles that exist in people.
By answering the CPSS questions, we reveal substantial insights about our own communication preference styles – as well as their potential strengths and challenges as we communicate and interact with other people.
Professor Ian C. Woodward of INSEAD, and Academic Director of the Institute for Leadership Communication, developed the CPSS, together with the concepts of "communication intelligence" and “four-dimensional communication” as part of his on-going research and teaching work in effective Leadership Communication.
In administering the Communication Preference Styles Survey (CPSS), we take privacy and data collection seriously.
By clicking on the “I Agree” button you are indicating that you are proceeding to undertake the CPSS, and that you are agreeing to our Privacy Policy and giving explicit consent for us to collect and process the personal data you enter in response to the CPSS questions and create a CPSS results report for you.
